Leadership advisory

Leadership advisory for public administration

A decision is approaching, a conversation is difficult or expectations of your role conflict. In a confidential leadership advisory session, we work through your situation, assess your options and prepare your next step.

Your day-to-day leadership

Situations where an outside perspective can help.

Taking on a new leadership role

Clarify what is expected of your role, which decisions are yours to make and which questions need to be agreed with others.

Preparing a difficult conversation

You need to address a conflict, a performance issue or an uncomfortable decision. We examine your goal, your position and how to open the conversation.

Weighing competing expectations

Political expectations, professional judgements and organisational capacity do not yet align. We distinguish between requirements, interests and your own room for manoeuvre.

Leading a change initiative

A project has stalled, responsibilities are unclear or resistance is growing. We examine your remit and the decisions that need to come next.

How we work

Discuss your situation in confidence.

You bring a specific situation. I listen, ask focused questions and offer a perspective from outside your reporting line. If I see things differently, I say so.

We distinguish between the problem, the interests involved and your own responsibility. From there, you develop a position you can stand behind and prepare your next steps.

A single session suits an upcoming decision or conversation. For a change of role or recurring challenges, we can agree support over a defined period.

Working together

Questions about leadership advisory.

How confidential is the discussion?

Your personal discussions remain confidential. They are not shared with managers or HR, including when your employer commissions the sessions.

Can my employer commission the sessions?

Yes. I prepare a description of the services and a proposal. We agree the scope and organisational arrangements in advance; your personal discussions remain separate from these arrangements.

How do you approach the work?

I combine focused questions and reflection on your situation with my own leadership experience in government and public-sector IT. You can also use the sessions to test professional and organisational assumptions.

How do we get to know each other?

In a free 30-minute introductory call, we discuss your needs and whether working together would be a good fit. Scope and fee are agreed before a paid session.

Which leadership challenge would you like to discuss?

A few sentences about your role and situation are enough for an initial enquiry. In the introductory call, we discuss how leadership advisory could support you.
